Call-Out

Call-out for Young People aged 16-26

What kind of Wales would you like to live in, and how can we get there?

  • Aged 16-26 years?
  • Live in Wales?
  • Want to earn £10 an hour?
  • Want to help shape a new vision of Wales and its place in the UK?

We need you!!

We’re trying to start new conversations on the future of Wales. To do so, we’re asking the question ‘What kind of Wales would you like to live in, and how can we get there?’ We want to talk to young people from across Wales, to gather their ideas about how such conversations should happen.

No experience, knowledge or interest in democracy/politics is required!

Who can take part?

Anyone aged 16-26 who lives in Wales can take part. We have funding to pay 12 young people for their time. We really want to hear from you:

  • if you hate politics
  • if you love politics
  • if you have never voted/have always voted/will never vote/think it’s all a waste of time/believe strongly in democracy/aren’t into politics/are extremely political and everything in between.

We want to hear what you think! We need your ideas!

When and where?

We’ll be hosting two 2-hour online workshops on 10 and 17 November 2021, between 16.30 and 18.30.

You’ll need access to the internet and a device. Please get in touch if you need support accessing the internet.

How do I sign up to take part?

You can apply here: https://aber.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/wales-constitutional-future

The deadline to apply to take part is Wednesday 3 November.

You’ll be asked for your contact details and to tell us a bit about yourself and why you would like to join the sessions. You can choose the format you use to respond:

  • An audio or recorded video response on your phone.
  • A written response (minimum 200 words, maximum 500 words).
  • A drawing/illustration/cartoon.

We will be in touch by Friday, 5 November to confirm if you have a place.

How accessible will it be?

An access budget is available to support (for example) sign language and note taking.

A Welsh/English simultaneous translation service is available.

Please get in touch if you wish to discuss your access requirements or if you need support accessing the internet.
